The Female Flex belt is 940mm long and suitable for waist sizes from 24 to 44 inches. The Male Flex belt is 1000mm long and suitable for waist sizes from 27 to 47 inches. These sizes are the same for Flex, and Flex Max. Both the male and female Gymbody belts are suitable for waist sizes from 24 to 47 inches.
The adhesive pads should last approximately 20 sessions before their effectiveness begins to wear. For maximum pad life, ensure that the area of the body the pads connect with is clean, and free from any applied substances e.g. cosmetic creams, jells, sun tan lotions etc.
It is not recommended that the two units be used simultaneously. If it is wished to use one after the other, it is recommended that the Belt be used before the BT.
There are a number of factors which make sharing a belt inadvisable.
1. The design of the belt is different, the female belt is deeper and shorter than the male belt to ensure correct pad placement.
2. The Male control unit gives stronger stimulation than the female belt, to better suit the muscles being stimulated.
3. The pad placement would most likely need to be changed due to the different body sizes and this would put excessive strain on the soft fabric of the belt and also considerable reduce the life of the pads.
Please ensure that the navel piercing has healed before using the Slendertone Flex Belt and place a plaster across the metal piercing to ensure that you do not receive stimulation through to the metal.
No, you should not use any slendertone product while pregnant. You have to wait until 6 weeks after your pregnancy before using again.
You should wait at least 3 months after a caesarian. Please consult your doctor before using the Flex Belt to ensure that the healing process is complete.
Flex is safe for use with the IUD, but you should wait at least 1 month after the IUD is initially fitted.
Flex transmits Electrical Impulses into the body and must not therefore be used when a Pacemaker is fitted.
If you take insulin for your diabetes, you should consult your doctor before using.
You should not, in any case place pads where you are injecting so if you inject into your stomach, you cannot put a pad on your stomach.
